OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR FULL TIME

The Dew Drop Inn is seeking an energetic individual to work with our team in a very busy, fast-paced compassion kitchen.

We are seeking a people person with a compassionate personality, good communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment, who is self-motivated and can manage the workload with minimum supervision. You must be able to work varied shifts as needed, work well with others and be able to follow instructions.

& Friday, 9am to 4pm at the Dew Drop Inn, 292 Red River Road.

**Job Title**:Operations Supervisor
**Reports to (Title)**:Operations Manager

**Hours/Week**:35 hours per week

**Job Summary**

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position is primarily responsible for supervising the Dew Drop Inn soup kitchen activities and assisting in the Dew Drop Inn's day-to-day operation.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Coordinate and oversee soup kitchen activities.
- Provide training/guidance, as required, to volunteers with regard to their assigned tasks ensuring that safe food handling and cleaning practices are followed.
- Ensure the safety of volunteers and clients while on the premises and document any incidents of concern.
- Manage problems/issues that may arise.
- Ensure that adequate quantities of food and supplies are available.
- Assist in the effective management of food and supply inventory so as to ensure the timely and efficient use of purchased and donated food.
- Ensure that facilities are in good operating order and kept clean and tidy.
- Perform other related duties as may be required.

**Knowledge & Skills Required**
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to organize, plan work and direct volunteers.
- Ability to understand/interpret relevant legislation.
- Self-motivated, able to take initiative.
- Ability to set priorities and manage workload with a minimum of supervision.

- **Education & Work Experience**:

- Post-secondary school graduate with education or equivalent experience in a restaurant setting or the food service industry.
- Some experience in a front-line supervisory capacity.
- Experience working as a volunteer or with volunteers in a non-profit environment.
- Experience working with marginalized populations.
- Safe Food Handling, First Aid, WHMIS and situational awareness training would be an asset.

**Special Requirements**

A valid Drivers License would be an asset.

Pay: $19.93-$19.94 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Every Weekend
