**What Your Impact Will Be**

You will play an essential role in developing and leading strategic partnership activities advancing SFU’s partner engagement, revenue generation, research income and reputation of the university. You will develop and implement account-based strategies from lead to closing, working in close collaboration with executives and leaders in SFU’s VPAAE, VPRI and VPER portfolios. You will manage a large portfolio of accounts ranging from corporations, government at the federal, provincial, and municipal levels, industry associations to not-for-profits. Through this portfolio you will be building and developing relationships, identifying and prioritizing opportunities to partner with SFU and supporting the process from lead generation to closure.

**Who You Are**

You bring five years of experience in strategic account management and the development of collaborative partnerships in a diverse corporate environment. You prioritize and value relationships and partnership-building. You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong track-record of collaboration and bringing people together for successful outcomes. You are entrepreneurial by nature and able to identify an opportunity and successfully develop a strategy to secure external funding, identifying and recommending innovative ways or solutions that meet their partner’s needs while aligned to SFU’s expertise or capacities. You are, results-oriented, and a resourceful problem-solver who is able to quickly adapt to rapidly-evolving and ambiguous situations. You have excellent time-management skills and are able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple accounts.

**Qualifications**

Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline and five years of relevant experience in strategic account management, business development, government relations or marketing, and experience within a corporate or university environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Excellent knowledge of contract development and budget estimation.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral, written, presentation), and relationship management skills.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent strategic planning skills to develop and enact long-term growth strategies.
- Excellent public relations skills with the ability to exercise a high degree of tact and diplomacy.
- Excellent customer service and marketing skills.
- Proven ability to successfully pitch new business and of increasing revenue through generation of leads.
- Ability to network and build/maintain strong relationships with executive decision-makers in industry, government, community groups and industry associations.
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with diverse team members.
- Ability to negotiate contracts in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Ability to travel locally, regionally and nationally for client meetings.
- Ability to facilitate collaboration between diverse internal stakeholders and external clients.
