TCR prioritizes regulatory compliance, audit, and controls.

We have full biometric security systems, and are **ISO 27001** and **PCI-DSS 3** certified, and are a **federally registered protected B-level facility**.

**Position Overview**

The Vice President of Finance primarily acts as TCR’s sole Controller and is responsible for the preparation and critical analysis of financial reports and statements, verifying accuracy and managing compliance with all applicable financial, accounting, reporting, and regulatory standards. This position maintains accounting systems, oversees accounts payable and receivables, and manages cash flow.

This position also provides vital support pertaining to the completion and success of year-end audits and periodic client audits, as well as the full scope of day-to-day financial operations, the execution of financial reporting and audit and the implementation of TCR’s financial objectives. This role also provides insight on forecasts and budgets, and implements change management on an as needed basis.

The Vice President of Finance has 6 direct reports that do not hold professional designations, and reports directly to the CEO. This is an-onsite, full time position.

**Responsibilities**

***Financial Reporting and Compliance**
- Oversee fiscal reporting activities for the preparation of monthly financial reports for the management and year-end financial statements for the external auditors
- Oversee, manage and exceed year-end audits and periodic client audits
- Critically analyze financial reports and statements
- Ensure financial compliance with all federal and provincial legislation, including regulatory year-end reporting requirement
- Ensure adequate internal controls are in place to maintain integrity of financial transactions and records
- Maintain accounting records, including general ledger, payroll, and taxes
- Ensure all company vendors/liabilities are paid on time and internal controls are in place to ensure valid payments

***Cash Flow Management**
- Manage cash flow and ensure adequate cash flow to meet organization’s needs
- Oversee and verify accounts payables and accounts receivables
- Monitor banking activities of the organization

***Leadership and Strategy**
- Train and supervise the Accounts Department staff and raise awareness of financial management matters and meeting the organization’s financial objectives
- Implement and maintain an adequate financial reporting system and coordinate changes as required
- Participate in strategic business and financial planning process
- Participate in new business ventures or in mergers and acquisitions, including evaluating the proposition

**Requirements**:

- Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA or CGA)
- Minimum 3+ years progressive financial management experience
- Proficiency with accounting systems (Sage 300 ERP Accpac preferred)
- Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Results-oriented strategic thinker, planner and self-starter
- Articulate and concise communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- High aptitude for prioritizing tasks with fanatical attention to detail

- Certified Fraud Examiner Designation (CFE)
- Tech or IT Background
