Why is this role important?
- CIHI’s Health System Performance Branch develops and reports on new indicators of health system performance for jurisdictions across the country. This includes work on virtual care and the Shared Health Priorities portfolio, with a focus on mental health and substance use, home and community care, health system resilience, primary health care and modernized health systems. This is a unique opportunity to make use of your literature review and analytical skills, knowledge of the health care system, epidemiology, and statistics or research methods capabilities. There will be opportunities to work with other teams within the branch, including the Virtual Care Initiative team, in a motivated, collaborative and high-performing environment.
- What you'll do
- You will participate in the refining and reporting of health indicators, including supporting release activities, data preparation and user experience testing.
- Your work during the term may include conducting literature reviews, preparing written summaries of findings, and presenting to indicator teams.
- Your role may also include supporting CIHI’s Patient Reported Experience Measures operations and capacity building work.
- This role will provide you with an opportunity to support clients, participate in discussions of analytical issues and work with other CIHI teams.

What you'll bring to the table
- Strong organizational skills and proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Knowledge of software programs including Microsoft Office suite; familiarity of programming languages such as SAS, R or Python would be an asset
- Fluency in English required; bilingualism in both official languages is an asset
