General Accountability

Reporting to the Manager
- Application Portfolio, this position is responsible for product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle, including - gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, working closely with customers to establish a strong understanding of business/customer goals and employing research/empirical methods to identify enterprise-size digital products/strategies that address customer needs. The role analyzes competing products, identifies & implements a particular product vision and ensures a state of good repair for the implemented product. The Product Manager also ensures that the product supports the TTC's overall strategy and goals.

Key Job Functions
Establish and maintain relationships with the key business and technology stakeholders, determine near and long-term business needs
Perform (internal or external) customer research to develop product strategy and roadmaps
Perform competitive analysis on product/solution alternatives
Facilitate and drive alignment among key stakeholders
Ensure product footprint expansion and adoption by business units through workshops, product demos etc.
Manage product budget established in consultation with business sponsors and product-line management
Work with key stakeholders to make frequent and dynamic prioritization decisions
Bring the product to market
Continually monitor and refine the product while in market
Act as the keeper and communicator of the vision
Define the product roadmap based on business outcomes
Collaborate closely with product delivery teams
Collaborate and coordinate with other product managers

Coordinate with other stakeholders such as business, data, and IT architects
Collaborate and coordinate with innovation teams
Develop and enforce State-Of-Good Repair plans to ensure the product is never out of vendor support and assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
Lead business requirements gathering sessions
Lead vendor discussions, product demonstrations and product evaluations
Analyse digital product performance and redesign as required
Design, develop and manage activities from product definition & planning to production and release
Manage prioritization and trade-offs between customer experience, business impact, performance, and post-launch support
Working cross-functionally with strategy, design, and technology teams to ensure timely and quality release of product/ enhancements
Resolve/troubleshoot technical issues using hands-on knowledge/skills and coordinate with the vendor for support
Responsible for treating passengers and/or employees with respect and dignity and ensuring the needs of passengers or employees with disabilities are accommodated and/or addressed (if applicable and within their area of responsibility) in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders so that they can fully benefit from the TTC as a service-provider and an employer.

Education and Experience
University degree or College diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration with specialty in Information Systems and Technology, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
Experienced and effective in translating technical details into business language and vice versa
Progressive experience working with the business in digital product management as well as digital product design professionals.
Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities in order to drive value addition
Additional Requirements
Must have experience in either SAP (Payroll/Benefits) OR SuccessFactors OR Workforce Time & Attendance
Experience developing product roadmaps, managing the product lifecycle and maintaining customer journeys
Expert knowledge and understanding of SAP ERP (payroll/benefits) and SuccessFactors, able to make recommendations
