Operations include two manufacturing plants located in Edmonton and Customer Solution Centres located in Langley, Edmonton, Calgary, Lethbridge, Red Deer, Saskatoon, Regina, and Winnipeg.

We are currently recruiting for a **Warehouse Technician I** to join our **Edmonton Inbound **team. This individual is responsible for materials handling and inventory control. The materials handling function includes activities such as storage, order picking, issuing, shipping, receiving, stocking shelves, sorting, salvage, and product returns.

This is a temporary position, the expected length of the contract will be 6-7 months.

**In this position, you will be responsible for**:

- Ensures compliance with Company health and safety practices
- Identifying health and safety risks related to materials handling activities and mitigating risk to eliminate hazards associated with warehouse operations.
- Place goods in their allocated storage location upon receipt and pick inventoried materials required to fulfill internal and external customer orders.
- Organizing product within the warehouse and the yard, maintaining housekeeping.
- Participate in physical inventory and cycle counts, as required.
- Ensure the outside storage locations are maintained and kept orderly
- Unload materials from trailers and containers
- Perform waste disposal and recycling tasks

**Primary Qualifications Required**:

- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Warehousing experience is an asset
- Visual-spatial awareness is required.
- Ability to follow safe job procedures, safe work practices, standard operating procedures, and standard work instructions is required.
- English communication skills, the basic comprehension of English, and the ability to understand and follow instructions is required.
- Generally, the following knowledge, skills and abilities are learned on-the-job:

- Understanding product types.
- Understanding inventory management best practices.
- Understanding general end-to-end production processes.
- Proper lifting and moving techniques.
- Ability to be aware of surroundings and ensuring safety of self, others, equipment and products.
