**Summary**

The Manager of Community Support Services is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and delivery of community-based support services for Family Service Kent. The Manager is required to lead the Community Support Services team and ensure that all clients receive services consistent with the core values, mission, and vision of Family Service Kent.

**Job Duties**
- Support the Leadership Team at Family Service Kent in facilitating strategic planning and providing oversight to organizational priorities.
- Provide supervision and coaching to the Transportation Lead, Community Support Coordinators, and other Community Support employees, ensuring the quality of service.
- Demonstrate leadership in support of departmental needs and serve as a lead resource.
- Plan program direction and development on an annual basis and monitor program effectiveness.
- Establish effective communication systems with employees and community partners, specific to service provision.
- Participate in the development of program budgets.
- Collect and report on required program statistics.
- Monitor staffing to ensure that all areas of the program are equipped with trained employees/volunteers and appropriate coverage is provided at all times.
- Provide oversight and compliance to accreditation standards.
- Ensure team meetings are scheduled in accordance to program requirements.
- Build and maintain sustainable relationships with staff, management, volunteers, clients and community stakeholders.
- Collaborate with various Family Service Kent departments and outside professionals to ensure smooth and efficient client care.
- Represent Family Service Kent at designated community and regional meetings.
- Review and make recommendations for policy development.
- Establish procedures to ensure the legislative requirements are met by the department.
- Conduct performance reviews as per agency guidelines.
- Liaison among staff and other stakeholders to ensure that goals are achieved, processes are improved, and resolutions are provided to problems.
- Be on-call for the department and respond to emergencies and crises.
- Other duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- Post-secondary diploma or degree in social work, human services, business, health, or public administration discipline.
- 3-5 years management experience
- Demonstrated ability to respectfully assist clients, family members, and the community with care and concern, consistent with the Core Values, Vision, and Mission.
- Vulnerable Police Sector Screen
- Core competencies as listed

**Work Conditions**
- Manual dexterity required
- Interacts with employees, management, volunteers and the public at large
- May be exposed to biological hazards
- Intermittent physical activity, including lifting, sitting, and standing
- Irregular hours
- Overtime may be required
