- Post Secondary Education in Healthcare, Business or Support Services related field required
- Minimum two years supervisory experience in a Healthcare unionized environment
- Experience in Support Services disciplines including Housekeeping and Linen, Nutrition Management, Supply Chain Management, MDRD and Facilities Management
- Understanding of regulatory issues: WHMIS, Occupational Health and Safety, Infection Control, BPS directives, Nutrition guidelines and standards, PIDAC best practices, Facility operating standards, Transportation of Dangerous Goods
- Experience in project management an asset
- Advanced and demonstrated computer knowledge in Virtuo MIS, CBORD, Oculys and Microsoft Office Suite, (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
- Satisfactory Attendance

**ACCOUNTABILITIES (Major Responsibilities of the Position)**
- Provide support in all support services areas as required.
- Manage the day to day operations including, Labour Relations, staff scheduling, problem solving, training, report writing, and ensuring the provisions of the Collective Agreement are met.
- Ensures quality and assumes responsibility for the overall services provided by the support services departments.
- Monitor supply usages, infection rates and financial performance indicators to meet organization objectives.
- Meet financial targets through effective ordering & inventory.
- Coach and monitor staff in following all regulated requirements of support services.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with facility department heads, patients, customers, employees and suppliers to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain high level of customer and patient satisfaction.
