**Job Title**: Job Developer (Direct Support Professional II)

This role is instrumental in connecting job seekers with local businesses, fostering meaningful employment opportunities, and promoting inclusive workplaces.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct interviews via phone/in-person at diverse locations, including offices, resource centers, and participant’s homes.
- Administer assessments such as the Common Assessment and Employment Readiness Assessment to evaluate motivation, work attitudes, competencies, job history, and identify barriers.
- Develop and manage Employment Action Plans with job seekers, aligning with their career, employment, and training goals, connect them with services and supports, and initiate the job search process promptly.
- Deliver individual and group meetings and employment-related training.
- Provide support for job search activities and facilitate connections with potential employers.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with employers, negotiating training incentives and creating employment opportunities.
- Provide job coaching and retention activities as needed.
- Perform follow-up activities per Ministry requirements, documenting employment milestones in appropriate systems, including EOIS-CaMS and other technologies.
- Achieve outcome-based employment targets and exercise sound judgement to provide effective, personalized services.
- Build professional relationships with participants and partners in employment and social services.
- Collaborate with community-based employment services agencies to maximize utilization of employment programs.
- Compile statistical data to support program viability.
- Demonstrate adherence to Community Living Chatham-Kent’s goal, vision, mission and values.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or minimum 2-year College Diploma in Social Services, Business Administration, or related field, with 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience and comfort in marketing, promotion and sales of peoples’ potential, and the belief that everyone should be given the opportunity to work.
- Previous experience in Employment Services and/or Human Services, preferably in job development, job coaching, or case management roles.
- Proficiency in conducting interviews, assessing motivation, competencies, and barriers, and developing and monitoring service delivery plans.
- Familiarity with Employment Ontario Information Systems Case Management System (EOIS-CaMS), WREN Jobs Portal, and agenda scheduling tools.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) or similar software programs.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, community services, resources, policies, and programs affecting employment.
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Availability to work weekdays, with occasional weekends and evening hours as required.
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Full vaccinated against Covid-19

**HOURS**: 40 hours per week

**WAGE RANGE**:$28.56 to $30.73 per hour based on employment status
