As we continue to grow, Arctic Arrow is offering this exciting opportunity for a Heavy Equipment Operator.

**Position Summary**:

- The Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe operation of excavators, backhoes, skid steers, loaders and other heavy construction equipment as required. You must have safety awareness, good communication & competent decision-making skills, and a desire to perform requested duties with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.

**Requirements**:
**Essential Functions, Major Duties, and Accountabilities**:

- Maintain and ensure a high level of safety.
- Ensure a daily JHA, attend all safety meetings and daily tailboard meetings.
- Abide by all Arctic Arrow policies, procedures, rules and OH&S Act, Regulation & Code.
- Represent Arctic Arrow in a professional manner while on and off job sites.
- Proficiently operate our core equipment productively in all conditions including high traffic, remote or congested areas, in all weather conditions.
- Perform equipment walk-around inspections.
- Work with others as a team.
- Participate in the preventive maintenance program for the equipment you operate.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems, field repair minor fixes and communicate major issues with mechanics.
- Completion and timely submission of daily paperwork as required.
- Show up to work on time and fit for duty.
- Maintain a clean drivers abstract.

**Qualifications**:

- **Must have a valid Class 1 license and able to provide a clean driver’s abstract.**:

- **Must pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test.**:

- Construction equipment operating experience.
- Related certificates and training would be assets for this position: PME, Ground Disturbance, TDG, CSTS-2020, First Aid, H2S, WHMIS.
