Red Deer, Canada Brandt Full time

**We are presently seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician to join our John Deere dealership in Red Deer. **The Heavy Equipment Technician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of construction, aggregate/ crushing units, pavers/ compaction and forestry-based equipment and attachments in a shop / field environment.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair heavy duty equipment
- Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently
- Dismantle, repair, and assemble industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to specifications
- Operate hoisting devices to position machinery and parts during assembly, installation, and/or repair activities
- Test and provide constructive feedback on existing and newly manufactured industrial equipment
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
- Prepare electronic inspection and service reports
- Use parts catalogues to locate parts, and order parts from parts personnel
- Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required
- Other duties as required

**Required Skills**:

- Must have the ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Required Experience
- Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is preferred
- Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade preferred
- Must be committed to customer service and service excellence
