The Project Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of GIT’s Hull and Propeller Coating process. This includes coordinating with vessel owners (GIT customers and clients) to establish drydock timeframes, planning and scheduling the hull and propeller painting, collaborating with shipyards and contractors, monitoring project progress, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards, and managing related budgets and expenses.
- Plan and schedule hull and propeller coating (painting) for vessels, considering operational requirements and industry best practices.
- Coordinate timelines, operations, and coating activities with shipowner representatives, dry-docking staff (paint supervisors), and coating inspectors assigned to the service.
- Manage the allocation, scheduling, and reporting of coating inspectors.
- Oversee paint storage and location at the dry docks to ensure optimal management.
- Monitor the progress of coating projects, provide regular updates to senior management, and take corrective action to meet timelines and budget expectations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards, including safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout all coating activities.
- Provide guidance and support to vessel crews and stakeholders during the coating process.
- Continuously assess and improve coating (painting) processes and procedures.
- Plan and schedule vessel dry dockings, ensuring alignment with operational needs and industry standards.
- Coordinate with shipyards and contractors to ensure dry-docking projects are conducted safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Monitor dry-docking progress, provide updates to senior management, and adjust plans as needed to meet budget and timeline goals.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards during all dry-docking activities.
- Manage dry-docking budgets and expenses, including contract negotiations and invoice management.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation for all dry-docking projects, including cost and timeline reports.
- Provide painting-related guidance during the dry-docking process to vessel crews and other stakeholders.
- Review and approve coating reports from coating inspectors and share relevant reports with shipowners as applicable.

**Academic Qualifications & Professional Experience**
- **FROSIO, NACE, or ICOOR certification required.**:

- **5+ years of experience in paint and coating services, dry-docking coordination,** or related relevant field.
- **2+ years of previous Project Management experience in the Marine Industry, **PMP or PMO certification would be an asset.
- In-depth knowledge of global maritime industry regulations and standards related to dry docking, including familiarity with ports in various countries, would be an asset and contribute to success in this position.
- Previous work experience or in-depth understanding of maritime, seafaring, or marine industry.
