About you and this role - What you would do in this role

Leads site EH&S compliance and management of the safety management systems with the Contract Workforce. Requires expanded conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and broadens capabilities.

This role is based in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta and does require travel to Prentiss, Alberta.

Responsibilities - Duties, projects, tasks, and activities you would be responsible for in this role.
- Coordinates, implements, and optimizes EH&S programs and compliance with contract partners.
- Leads incident investigations and the corrective action process for EH&S issues and opportunities with contract partners.
- Performs central review of all EHS&S contractor related submittals to ensure consistency and compliance goals are met.
- Works with Contract Administration team to drive EH&S performance improvement for contract partners.
- First point of contact for EHS&S questions/concerns from Contract leadership and Contract safety.
- Develops Contractor EHS&S Leadership Alliance (Contractor EHS&S leadership meeting).
- Active member of the Alberta Operations SMAT (Supplier Management Action Team) - EHS&S member to assess contract renewals, contractor management system reviews, EHS&S Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Initiates and supports management of change (MOC) for EH&S programs and compliance matters, as necessary.
- Member of the USGC&C Contractor safety team.
- Coaches, trains, and mentors EH&S contract team.
- Performs site gap assessments around EH&S work process implementation, as necessary.
- Develops, reviews, monitors, creates and deliver training as appropriate.

Qualifications - Required education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities that are needed for this role (must haves).
- A minimum of a 2 year technical diploma and/or 5 years experience
- 3 or more years of EH&S, Manufacturing or related experience.
- A minimum requirement for this Canada based position is the ability to work legally in the Canada. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position.
