Halifax, Canada Residence Inn by Marriott Full time

Proactively solicit and qualify new business to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections, written communication, and client entertainment.
- Conduct targeted account research to determine revenue potential.
- Participate in daily business review meetings, training and other sales-related meetings as required.
- To be knowledgeable of local market, national companies, market trends, competition and customers.
- Work with other departments within the hotel to provide quality service to customers.
- Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings.
- Respond to sales leads and clients’ requests within 24 hours.
- Prepare and customize sales presentations and proposals to meet client’s needs.
- Work in harmony with other departments to execute groups and catering events.
- Maintain Manga / Residence Inn policies and procedures.
- Weekly MOD shifts as needed / required.
- Monitor and assess service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly.
- Execute sales trips to key market areas.
- Produce weekly reports with plans to follow through on activities targets and annual revenue goals.
- Other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
