**We are looking to add a Purchasing Analyst to our team**

The position of Purchasing Analyst is responsible for the timely procurement of raw materials, packaging and finished good for North America. You will be responsible for placing purchase orders on a timely manner, following up with vendors and ensure timely and cost-effective procurement. Oversee purchase orders that are generated on the Demand Plan, ensuring Plant and MRP breakdowns are aligned to forecast. Review Demand Plan changes and changes inbound dates and recommend required adjustments based on Customer needs.

The top priorities regarding this position will be to issue purchase orders on timely manner, reduce inventory levels, monitor vendor performance, and make improvements. Due to the nature of this position a customer-focused person that is determined and dedicated to accuracy would be best suited. Performance will be measured by revenue reports and KPIs. Opportunities for advancement and growth could be possible as a Sr. Buyer or Supply Chain or other internal positions.
- Create purchase orders based on customer requirements and based on MRP system which are aligned to forecast. Will work closely with Plant Scheduler.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiating contracts where it is applicable and terms to secure favorable agreements.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and product availability to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Work closely with vendors to resolve issues related to quality, quantity, and delivery.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Generate and analyze reports on purchasing and procurement activities for management review.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Special Projects as assigned.
- All other duties as requested by Department Manager or other colleagues.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree Preferred or SCMP designation is an asset
- Purchasing: 3 years preferred
- Exceptional English communication and written skills
- Math skills
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong Computer Skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Ability to multitask
- Organized and at the same time has a sense of urgency
- Quick Learner
- Open to changes and enjoy helping both internal/external associates
