**Salary**: $3,147.32 to $4,235.37 bi-weekly ($82,145 - $110,543/year)

Seniors, Community and Social Services provides supports for seniors, families and communities, and helps Albertans access disability services, financial supports, affordable housing, services for the homeless, and other social-based programs. The Ministry supports Albertans through a person-centered, integrated service delivery model that recognizes the unique circumstances, experiences and strengths of individuals and families.

Reporting to the Director, Planning & Analytics, the Manager, Research & Analytics is responsible for comprehensive research and planning initiatives. The Manager leads the identification, collection, and analysis of housing-related data, intelligence, and social and economic trends that inform the policies, plans, and programs of the Housing Division. The Manager is also responsible for managing issues, mitigating risks, and developing complex documents.

As the Manager, Research & Analytics, you will be challenged and faced with the following responsibilities:

- Manage research and analysis initiatives and processes that impact the government’s commitment to ensuring the availability of stable, sustainable, lower-cost housing for Albertans in need.
- Understand complex relationships and collaborate with division representatives, partner ministries, and other stakeholders.
- Identify and generate awareness of research and emerging issues, trends, and leading practices. Develop innovative methods to collect and analyze data.
- Oversee the development of mechanisms and processes to effectively manage issues within the division and support aligned responses. Ensure consistent communication of key messages.
- Posses excellent professional judgment to manage sensitive and complex issues, and handle conflicting perspectives, requirements, and priorities of various clients and stakeholders.

**Qualifications**:
Minimum requirements for this role:

- University degree in a related field (Public Policy, Public Administration, Business, Economics, or other related fields).
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience in policy evaluation and/or research environment (advanced research methods, evaluation of best practices, and analysis of data).

Equivalencies:
Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:

- 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
- 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.

Assets for this role:

- Experience managing research and analysis of social, economic, and other information related to housing policies, issues, and programs.
- Experience developing and communicating complex information.
- Experience managing and responding to issues.
- Stakeholder engagement/collaboration experience.
