**Job Title**: Technical Sales Project Manager - Boats
**Location**: Greater Vancouver, B.C.
**About Us**: Our client is an internationally renowned provider of high-end boats, known for their exceptional quality, performance, and versatility. With a strong presence in both government and luxury markets, we have established ourselves as a trusted name in the maritime industry.
As a Technical Sales Project Manager specializing in Rigid Hull Inflatables (RIBs), you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating sales projects within both government and luxury sectors. This role demands a deep understanding of maritime technology, project management skills, and a proven track record in technical sales, particularly within government and luxury clientele.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Market Research and Strategy**:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and regulatory requirements in both government and luxury sectors.
- Develop tailored sales strategies for each market, leveraging unique selling points for government and luxury clientele.
**Project Planning and Coordination**:
- Collaborate with sales and technical teams to develop project plans, defining timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation for each market segment.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination across all departments involved in the sales projects.
**Product Knowledge and Expertise**:
- Stay abreast of industry standards, regulations, and emerging technologies in both sectors.
**Client Acquisition and Relationship Building**:
- Identify and engage potential government clients, including maritime agencies, defence departments, and public institutions.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with luxury clients, catering to their unique needs and preferences.
**Sales Presentations and Demonstrations**:
- Conduct comprehensive product presentations and demonstrations tailored to the specific requirements and interests of government and luxury clientele.
- Address technical queries and provide customized solutions based on client needs.
- Acting as a liaison with sister Companies in Europe
- Developing, managing and guiding sales activities
- Maintaining sales records
- Organizing customer visits
- Leading First Article Testing (FAT) with customers
- Ensuring after-sales technical / warranty support to customers, field representatives and dealers
**Custom Solution Development**:
- Collaborate with the technical team to develop customized RIB solutions to meet the stringent requirements of government clients, and the refined tastes of luxury clients.
- Provide detailed quotations and proposals outlining product configurations, pricing, and delivery timelines.
**Regulatory Compliance and Documentation**:
- Ensure all sales projects adhere to government regulations and compliance standards, including procurement processes, documentation, and certifications.
- Manage and oversee the preparation of necessary documentation for luxury clientele, including contracts, warranties, and bespoke specifications.
**Website Portfolio Maintenance**:
- Oversee the maintenance and updates of our RIB portfolio on the company website, ensuring it accurately reflects our latest offerings and specialized designs for both sectors.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling content and visuals for the website to engage and captivate our discerning clientele.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Maritime Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical EngineeringBusiness, etc.).
- Proven track record in technical sales, project management, and client acquisition, with experience in both government and luxury sectors.
- 5+ years in Project Management. PMP is considered an asset.
- Exceptional technical acumen and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
- Proficiency in CRM software, project management tools, and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Valid Driver's License
