**As ATB Wealth's next Wealth Operations Specialist III**, you play a critical role in both the strategic and day to day running of Operations. This role works closely with leadership in implementing strategic and Operational initiatives, and also works closely with Operations Analysts regarding transactions, process and escalations. Successful partnerships with the Advisory Services team are also integral in order to provide the best-in-class service to our clients. You are curious and driven to understand how things work now, and how they could work better. You also demonstrate the ability to find solutions independently, and within teams, in order to build strong relationships with our partners. In this role you will be forward thinking, a master problem solver, and demonstrate agility and adaptability in order to keep up to the industry and our clients’ changing needs.

You will find success based on your ability to:

- Leverage your knowledge of the wealth management industry, with a strong knowledge of registered plan areas and estates, including knowledge of account types, client types, product types, and tax slips in order to ensure the seamless processing of registered plan transactions, tax reporting, and successful audits
- Demonstrate a high level of aptitude for technical proficiency, including data and withholding tax reconciliation, and using data driven decisions
- Maintain a strong knowledge of Dataphile and Salesforce
- Connect and cultivate productive working relationships with ATBW partners (including financial advisors and their assistants)
- Successfully provide clear communication and solutions to advisors regarding escalated and complex client inquiries, while demonstrating effective management of risk
- Have a critical thinking and analytical mindset when collaborating with internal and external teams to help break down complex tasks into simplified solutions
- Demonstrate empathy and strong listening skills, and the ability to clearly articulate the client story with any issue that may arise
- Oversee the development and enhancement of operational processes, with a focus on internal controls and creating ongoing documentation of process and process improvements.
- Manage daily activities for registered plans, RESP / RDSP and Estates team;
- Ensure SLAs are maintained; assist the teams with prioritization and communicate with appropriate parties when SLAs are at risk
- Provide guidance and coaching to various back office teams where necessary; coach others on operational processes to ensure transactional and tax output is accurate
- Identify and analyze problems, gaps and themes through several lenses, and develop and own the implementation of solutions
- Establish and maintain an effective relationship with CRA, Revenue Quebec, ESDC and external auditors; act as the key liaison for issues relating to these third parties
- Review all year end registered plan tax jobs and ensure the jobs are reviewed for any issues, and approved
- Use sound judgment to make decisions on requests for waivers of probate, tax amendments, and process changes; ensure that any risks associated with these decisions are mitigated.

**Requirements**:

- A strong knowledge of the investment industry including operational processes and registered plan taxation
- Curiosity; you are compelled to make things better
- The ability to work independently under high pressure situations to deliver results, while balancing competing priorities
- You are client obsessed, a champion of belonging, and driven to perform
- Strong computer and technical skills with experience in Excel, Google Sheets and the Google Suite of products an asset
- Canadian Securities Course is strongly preferred
- Post secondary education in business or equivalent experience in a related field is an asset
- 5-7 years experience in the securities industry
