**Company Overview**:
The O.I. Group of Companies, established in 1981, provides PEO support services including employee leasing/outsourcing, staffing, payroll with virtual time management, HR support including labour law and employment standards and group benefit administration to international and local clients across Canada

**Responsibilities**:
The certified HR Manager will lead a small team and will be responsible providing a full spectrum of HR support to our clients and will be expected to:
1. Provides HR support to an extensive work force across Canada and liaise with employees and clients

2. Has a comprehensive knowledge of Canadian Employment Law and is able to advise clients and employees of all aspects of the legislation including employment contracts, reprimands, terminations, EI, lay offs, etc.

3. Liaises with lawyers on employment issues and litigation

4. Is the conduit of client and employee information for our in house team including our payroll and invoicing departments

5. Assesses and/or develops Employee Policies and Procedures, Employee Handbooks and Health and Safety Manuals

6. Manages employee benefits including our Group Benefit and Pension Plans

7. Manages WCB claims including employee management to return to work and stays current with related provincial WCB legislations across Canada

8. Ensures client workplaces meet Health and Safety protocols and stays current with related federal and provincial legislation across Canada and develops and implements new policies as required and monitors Health and Safety Committees

9. Manages and/or investigate and resolves, as required, all employee problems/issues in client work places, and when required develops dispute resolution mechanisms and employee Work Plans while working closely with on site supervisors. These issues may include sexual discrimination, bullying, human rights complains etc.

10. Manages and train employees and the on site supervisors on our Virtual Time Management Systems

11. Maintains an extensive employee data base

12. Maintains an effective verbal and written communication with all stakeholders

13. Identifies, sources and undertakes training of employees as required

14. From time to time, may be required to travel to client work places

**Qualifications and Skills Required**:

- Must be fully accredited as a HR Professional with at least 5 years of senior HR management related experience
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment with many stakeholders
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- High level of initiative/self motivation
- Strong communication skills (internal and external communications)
- Comprehensive knowledge of Employment Standards legislation and labour standards
- Strong customer service focus

**Benefits **:This is a full time position with all employees eligible for a company paid Group Benefit Plan and a pension plan based on a co-contribution model.

Due to the nature of the extensive ongoing communication required on a daily basis among all staff, this position requires attendance from 9AM to 5PM in our office in Brantford.

**Salary**: From $60,000.00 per year
