Under the general direction of the Infrastructure Lead the you will be responsible for Network Administration duties related to the
support of the Manitoba Hydro corporate network. This includes installation and maintenance of switching infrastructure, firewalls,
network load balancers, enterprise VPN, cloud connectivity, and wireless technologies. Duties also include participation in project
work, providing technical support to other areas of D&T, and supporting the end user community.

**_ Responsibilities:_**
- Install and troubleshoot switching, routing, and wireless technologies.
- Design and administer firewall rules.
- Perform firmware and software updates on various networking technologies.
- Perform hardware upgrades as necessary to maintain technical currency.
- Work with end users to diagnose remote connectivity issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory of networking equipment using corporate tools.
- Participate in the implementation of network technology for large projects.
- Responsible for cabling design and installation of network connectivity in Manitoba Hydro offices/trailers.
- Procurement of hardware/software as required.
- Perform and analyze network packet captures.
- Work with end users and other technical groups to resolve system problems when necessary.
- Keep abreast and assess new trends in the IT industry.
- Work overtime as directed and participate in an on-call rotation on a 24X7 basis.
- Maintain a high level of communication with other technical groups in the corporation.

**_ Qualifications:_**
- A four year degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering from a university of recognized standing plus a minimum of

three years related IT network support experience.
OR
- A two year diploma in Computer Programming Technology from an institute of recognized standing plus a minimum of five

years related IT network support experience.
- Must obtain and maintain a current Personnel Risk Assessment and a "Clear" security rating in accordance with Manitoba

Hydro policy P513.
- Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Training is required and must be completed prior to transfer date and renewed annually.
- Demonstrated ability in the implementation, maintenance, problem detection and resolution in the following areas:

- Networking hardware including access, distribution, and core switch technologies
- Firewalls

**_ Salary Range_**

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $37.75-$52.26 Hourly,
$72,341.88-$100,138.22 Annually.
