We manufacture ocean sensing solutions - sensors, instrumentation, and deployment systems - for business and government customers on all seven continents. As a hi-tech business, our technical team includes experts and engineers with experience in the acoustic, mechanical, electrical, software, and embedded software domains. We operate from locations at either end of Canada: Halifax (Dartmouth) on the Atlantic Coast, and Victoria on the Pacific Coast.

**Mission of the Role**

The force-multiplier of the Sales Team.

**Accountabilities**
- Acts as primary internal support resource for the Sales Team
- Generates quotes for Customers with high degree of accuracy and within 1 day of inquiry
- Synthesizes and analyzes data; provides recommendations and insights
- Provides assistance in the development of internal sales reporting tools
- Owns the generation and consolidation of information in response to Customer inquiries, as required
- Coordinates Sales-led inter-departmental activities
- Owns accuracy and completeness of Customer records in ERP
- Prepares Customer-facing materials including brochures, data sheets, and trade-show media
- Provides support for various Sales Team project initiatives

**Competencies**
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Strong EQ; able to navigate conversations and build relationships
- An ability to process data using common software tools; leverage data to provide insight
- High degree of self-direction and focus on outcome
- Able to quickly learn and understand a technical product line
- Is organized and can effectively prioritize. Can manage multiple competing priorities
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Word and Excel
- Working knowledge of industry-standard media creation tools such as Adobe Illustrator considered a bonus

This position is ideal for a coop / internship

**Job Type**: Contract

**Salary**: $48,750.00-$52,000.00 per year
