We specialize in providing fine food products to retailers and restaurants across Western Canada. Our company continues to grow, and we are currently looking for a full-time **Purchaser/Inside Sales Representative** to work in our **Victoria **office location.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- You will report to the Product Manager and Director of Sales, Marketing and Procurement and this role will include, but not be limited to: _
- **PURCHASER**
- Place orders for All Vendors that fall under your responsibility
- Responsible for all PO’s until they are received
- Maintain personal buying calendar accurately
- Minimize shrink and shortages while keeping stock levels at an acceptable level
- Work in conjunction with the Product Manager to identify any problematic items / vendors
- Setup and maintain all items within your portfolio with regards to item setup, price changes, currency exchange and changes in freight charges
- Review shortage report and work with warehouse to verify inventory accuracy
- Review Buying Reports and recommend appropriate product status changes to the Product Manager
- **INSIDE SALES REP**
- Entering and processing customer orders
- Supporting the outside sales team by providing product and pricing information to generate new and repeat sales
- Providing exceptional customer service
- Addressing and resolving customer concerns
- Participating effectively in meetings to resolve issues and keep current on new products, pricing, and product promotions
- Coordinating efforts, as necessary, with other departments including marketing, customer service, accounts receivable, and warehouse operations
- Additional Sales Support duties as required

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Prior food purchasing experience and asset
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong mathematical aptitude
- Ability to work under pressure in a team environment
- Goal oriented self-starter and competitive spirit
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills, prioritizing, and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task

This position is full-time Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 3:30 pm

The wage starts at $24.00/hour based on experience + quarterly bonus
