**THE ROLE**
**Property Coordinator**
This is a temporary full-time (for an undetermined duration) role at the County, with an annual compensation range
of $70,689 - $86,013.
**THE OPPORTUNITY**
Manage and support a range of real property activities for the County,
including acquisitions, disposals, road closures/conveyances, easements,
encroachments, lease and license agreements, and other limited interest
agreements.
You will also coordinate real estate consultations, appraisals, surveys and
legal services as required. Lastly, you will ensure accurate maintenance of
County-owned land inventories in compliance with the Municipal Act.

Responsible for and provides support related to various real property activities including acquisition, disposal, road
closures/conveyances, easements, encroachments, lease and licence agreements, and other limited interest
agreements on behalf of the County. Additionally, facilitate real estate consultations, appraisals, surveys and legal
services as needed. Responsible for maintaining County owned land inventories as per the Municipal Act.
**QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS**_ _
Education
- Community College Diploma relative to the area of responsibility, completed within more than two academic
years.
- Special consideration will be given to applicants with:
- AMCTO - Municipal Legal Program Certificate
Experience
- Over 1 year and including 2 years of current related experience.
- Special consideration will be given to applicants with:
- Experience in a municipal environment
- Specialty training, such as land titles, registry and conveyance and knowledge of appraisals, surveying
and property assessment.
Knowledge/Skills
- Knowledge of real estate principles including real estate law and applicable legislation, appraisal, land use
planning.
- Familiarity of easements, encroachments, license and lease agreements.
- Understanding of land registry system procedures including registering electronic documents, legal matters,
legal surveys, planning documents and engineering drawings and methods as they relate to municipal real
estate matters.
- Proficiency in assessment map/GIS/ survey analysis.
- Firm knowledge of business processes and financial management methods to assist with the development of
Division budgets, to work within approved budgets and to recommend and/or take appropriate action to
maintain sound financial position relative to real estate matters in including tracking revenues and expenses
for each property file.
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License (Class G) and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to give, obtain, seek clarification, and/or
exchange routine information.
- Demonstrated initiative, and ability to make decisions involving multiple routine tasks, affecting department
level.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently referring only major problems to supervisors/managers.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise significant discretion and sensitivity involving regular work with confidential
information.
