**What **you’ll** do**:

- Conduct Employment Needs Assessment to identify clients’ skills, knowledge, competencies, and interests.
- In collaboration with the clients, develop individualized employment plan/pathway to support them in achieving their employment or career goals.
- Work collaboratively with case managers to promote the benefits of employment and create awareness about opportunities for youth.
- Educate clients about their employment rights and encouraging them to enter the workforce in Canada.
- Connect clients with employment opportunities and provide the necessary support to ensure the clients’ successful integration into the workplace including reviewing pay cheques and pay stubs, explaining taxes, etc.
- Attend employment-related events and develop collaborative relationships with employers for the purpose of securing employment opportunities for clients.
- Regularly update the database, keeping updated reports on services delivered, collecting feedback, offering recommendations on program activities and providing ongoing updates to the program manager.

**What **you**’ll** need**:

- Minimum one year of experience in social service work, particularly working with children and youth.
- Knowledge of the local labor market, employment options for youth and employment-related resources in the community.
- Experience speaking in front of others in a teaching or training environment an asset.
- Knowledge of employment legislation and labour laws.
- Commitment to refugee and immigrant rights and issues.
- Post-secondary education in social sciences, settlement work, or related field an asset.
- Knowledge of additional community resources is an asset.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to create presentations and resources.
- Adapt innovative and positive approach to tasks and duties to meet organizational needs.
- Empathetic and strong Intercultural communication skills
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Initiative and pro-active approach to tasks

**Working conditions**:

- Working at a desk in a stationary position.
- Willing and able to travel in the community as needed.

**Pay Range**:

- $20.00 -$25.82/hour
