REPORTS TO: Program Coordinator/HR Partner

HOURS: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm
- _This is an 8 week contract position_

The Human Resources Summer Student will work closely with the HR Partner in their Job Posting & Description Project. Creating new descriptions from past information using a consistent format and template.

**Position Responsibilities**
- Pull information from SharePoint and other sources within the organization.
- Track job titles, write a unique description for each role. Confirm with HR Partner/Program Manager the description meets standards for each role.
- Compress new descriptions into postings using a blank template.
- Organize all descriptions and postings by department.
- Other administrative duties as required.
- BSCS is more than a workplace. It is a community where everyone helps and contributes to the whole, and there is an expectation that all employees will take part in events (during the work week and occasionally during weekends and evenings). This includes fundraising campaigns, running community meals, medicine picking etc.

**Qualifications**
- Pursuing a diploma or degree in Human Resources.
- Strong communication skills, specifically in written format.
- Previous experience writing job descriptions.
- Ability to focus on one task for long periods at a time.
- Police Check with the Vulnerable Sector and Child and Youth Intervention Check completed within the past six months
- Valid First Aid certificate or enrolled in a future course
