**VCA Canada Alta Vista Animal Hospital **has an exciting opportunity for a full time, Patient Care Manager, Specialty to join our established network of highly skilled professionals. You will have an opportunity to use your skills to the fullest potential Our patient care managers are given the necessary tools and resources to be successful in pursuing multiple passions within our hospital. You will have opportunities to expand your learning through extensive exposure and involvement to many specialty cases. Additional qualifications and attributes you must embrace to be successful in this role;
- Previous veterinary scheduling and patient discharge experience an asset
- Previous surgical/internal medicine experience desired
- Organize daily bookings and prepare caseload file information for Veterinarians and specialty teams
- Point of contact between Veterinarian, Pet Owner and specialty departments
- Organize, maintain, and procure specialized veterinary equipment
- Ability to thrive in a steady and often fast paced environment
- Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues
- Proven ability to keep accurate patient records
- Strong ability to problem-solve
- A love for all companion animals
