Purchasing Assistant

**Job Summary**
At Roadtrex we build Motorhomes (Campervans) within an ultramodern manufacturing facility located in Cambridge, Ontario. We are recruiting for a Temporary Purchasing Assistant to support our Purchasing Department. This role will assist in the smooth operation of purchasing activities and maintaining accurate records, the hours of work are 8.30 am to 5.00pm, Monday through Friday and the work is required to be completed on site. This is a fixed term contract for four months. Wages are between $20 - 23 per hour.
**Responsibilities**
- Assist with the follow up of purchase orders and expediting orders.
- Update information in D365 and maintaining accurate records.
- Administrative task such as scanning document, updating and maintaining spreadsheet.
- Conducting market research to identify and monitor pricing trends.
- Verify accuracy and completeness of data being entered.
**Skills**
- Proficiency using MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook.
- Proficiency in Microsoft dynamics 365.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organized and accurate.
- Strong analytical skills and time management skills.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum education required: Grade 12.
- ISM or APICS designation and administration required.
- Business or Supply Chain designation preferred.
- Co - op in supply chain experience or 2 years administration/office experience preferred.
- Good understanding of supply chain procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies regarding data handling and confidentiality.
