**About us**

VanDriel Excavating strives to be the contractor of choice through Quality, Excellence and Teamwork in Excavation and Civil construction, and we have open position for a **Construction Supervisor** in heavy civil and bridge construction on municipal and commercial projects.
- Preferred 2+ years experience as a Site Supervisor within the construction industry.
- Must have 3+ years of experience as a construction carpenter.
- The ability to read and comprehend blueprints and various construction documents including quotes, change orders, etc.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with sub-contractors, site inspectors, and customers.
- The ability to keep track of multiple projects at once.
- Hands-on work style with a willingness to jump in where needed to assist with getting projects completed on time and within budget.
- Attention to detail to ensure our quality standards are met or exceeded on all projects.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout our service area.

**Requirements**:

- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of power tools.
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary to deliver project on time.
- Capable of manual labour for extended period of times.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Attention to detail with good planning and managing skills.
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
- Communicate with managers and designer regarding variations or issues with plans.
- Be responsible for health & safety provisions coordination on site.
- Coordinate on-site contractors.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
