Excavation/construction Supervisor

VanDriel Excavating strives to be the contractor of choice through Quality, Excellence and Teamwork in Excavation and Civil construction, and we have open position for **Excavation Supervisor **in heavy civil field and bridge construction on municipal and commercial projects.
- Preferred 3+ years experience as a Site Supervisor within the construction industry
- Must have 5+ years of experience in operating equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, dump trucks
- Broad knowledge of various construction procedures and components including excavation, trenching, waterway control, concrete, framing.
- The ability to read and comprehend blueprints and various construction documents including quotes, change orders, etc.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with sub-contractors, site inspectors, and customers
- The ability to keep track of multiple projects at once
- Hands-on work style with a willingness to jump in where needed to assist with getting projects completed on time and within budget
- Attention to detail to ensure our quality standards are met or exceeded on all projects
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout our service area

- Be able to work 50+ hours as required
- Be able to work Saturdays as required (very few)
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Use of PPE required.

**Salary**: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

- Clinton, ON N0M 1L0: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Supervising: 3 years (preferred)
- Excavating/Construction: 5 years (preferred)
