**As a Quality Control Technician, You Will**:

- Conduct laboratory testing in compliance with prevailing standards and procedures. Test asphalt and gravel (sieve analysis, gyratory, asphalt extractions, tensile strength testing, ignition oven, stability and flow, etc.)
- Maintain a safe working environment by complying with all safety guidelines
- Examine samples provided and write/advise of any discrepancy on test and field reports
- Ensure that measuring equipment is calibrated
- Perform Field Quality Control Testing (compaction using a density gauge, coring, slabbing)
- Keep supervisor on site informed of results from the testing
- Maintain and promote excellent relationships with the owner, contract administrators, subcontractors, suppliers and public
- Sample asphalt and gravel on job sites
- Fill out proper paperwork and create reports on work completed
- Participate in activities related to the quality system
- Other Duties as required

**What You'll Bring**:

- Technical knowledge of aggregate and asphalt quality is an asset
- Computer and Microsoft skills
- G License and Clean Driver’s Abstract
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work with mínimal supervision
- Team player with focus on safety
- Ability to lift 30kg
- Available to work outdoors and on a flexible schedule
