**The Opportunity**:
Winsham is a leading wholesaler, manufacturer, and distributor of bed, bath, table, healthcare, kitchen, and utility linen. We are a favorite Canadian supplier to commercial and institutional customers, as well as the hospitality, healthcare, and special events industry.
We are searching for an Office / Customer Service Associate to join our team. Reporting to the CEO, the individual will lead the day to day in-office experience for WINSHAM and provide an exceptional level of service to internal and external clients as the primary contact at the Toronto office and all workplace issues throughout the office. This is a full-time position, working in our Markham office.
The Associate will be the first point of contact for anything related to the physical workplace, and will have the opportunity to manage contractors, vendors and trades to resolve workplace issues and improvements. Specific duties include:
- Repairs & Maintenance - Coordination and scheduling of office maintenance and repairs including mechanical, electrical, plumbing and any other physical elements of the office environment
- Office Services - Ensure the smooth operation of office services such as, cleaning, pest control, etc.
- Front Desk - Provide front desk support and customer service
- Health and Safety - Act as the Co-Chair of the Joint Health and Safety Committee. Ensure the workplace environment is compliant with all applicable regulations and codes.
- Financial Support - Bank deposits and credit cards charges for sales orders.
- Sales support - Prepare sales reports for the sales team.
- Freight - Geotab tracking and reporting in-house delivery driver routes. Manage Canpar freight activity including returns, disputes, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**:
- Outstanding interpersonal skills - Have effective communications skills (both written and verbal) to ensure that all communications to team members, clients and vendors are professional and of the highest quality
- Able to read, write and understand English
- Working knowledge of MS Office (mainly Excel and Word)
- Excellent planning, and strong organizational skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Punctual, professional, and reliable
- Must be able to work independently, as well as in a team environment
- Able to build and manage relationships within team and across functional departments
- Minimum of 3-year general office and customer service experience
