POSITION TITLE: Reception/Social Media Coordinator
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Executive Director.
EMPLOYER: The Indigenous Network
SALARY: $20 per hour
We are looking for a receptionist to be responsible for greeting clients and visitors to our office. You will assist clients with directions to various parts of the office, contacting employees regarding visitors, answering phone, and taking messages, sorting and distributing mail, creating monthly program calendars, supporting staff, and managing social media platforms.
Position Responsibilities:
Greet clients and visitors with a positive, helpful attitude.
Assisting clients in finding their way around the office.
Announcing clients as necessary.
Helping maintain workplace security by maintaining visitor logs.
Assisting with a variety of administrative tasks including copying, faxing, and taking notes, assisting Coordinators with program calendars.
Preparing meeting and training rooms.
Answering phone in a professional manner, and routing calls as necessary.
Assisting colleagues with administrative tasks.
Performing ad-hoc administrative duties.
Sorting and distributing mail.
Provide excellent customer service.
Scheduling appointments as necessary.
Must possess strong collaboration skills.
Must be able to work independently with mínimal supervision.
Managing TIN brand’s online presence through various social channels. Duties include developing engaging content, create an online community for the brand, and create an online image that is representative of the brand and what it aims to promote.
Develop a marketing strategy for social media.
Develop content to increase community engagement online.
Create a brand persona through the brand’s online channels.
Utilize the social channels most relevant to the brand on a daily basis.
Respond to customer queries through social networks.
Create successful social media ad campaigns in coordination with Executive Director and Coordinators as needed.
Work with relevant influencers or complementary brands to grow the company’s social following organically
Position Requirement:
Prior experience as a receptionist or in a related field.
Consistent, professional dress, and manner.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good time management skills.
Experience with administrative and clerical procedures.
Able to contribute positively as part of a team, assisting with various tasks as required.
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
Specific employment conditions are specified in an employment contract with the Executive Director.
Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
Valid Ontario Driver’s License, use of own insured vehicle
The hiring of Indigenous People will be given preference, as allowed under Section 24 of the Ontario Human Rights Code - Special Programs
