**Job Information**:
SCOPE

Located in Inuvik, the Health Care Services Specialist reports to the Health Care Services Manager. This position is one of several Health Care Service Specialists who share these responsibilities across the Northwest Territories.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Basic knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting practices, at the account's receivables/payable level
- High competence keyboarding skills
- Basic research skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in and away from the workplace under all circumstances
- Customer service orientation and ability to respond with courtesy and tact in a variety of situations
- Interpersonal communication skills
- Problem solving skills
- Time management and organizations skills

Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by:
The knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position would be typically attained by the completion of a Grade 12 diploma plus 1-year work experience, including proficient keyboarding preferably, in a client service-focused environment.

Familiarity with medical terminology and with the NWT health care system would be considered assets.
