**The Opportunity**

As part of planning for the continued success of their business operations, the Louie family has created a new corporate entity named Hathstauwk Property Management Ltd. (“HPM”) to strategically manage their diverse real estate assets. HPM is currently seeking a Coordinator Retail Real Estate for a 6-month contract with a possibility of extension. This is an opportunity to join a vibrant and positive team and contribute to a growing company rooted in the values of respect, kindness and longevity.

The Coordinator Retail Real Estate is responsible for providing lease administration and support to the retail real estate department. In this position you must possess the ability to perform a wide variety of tasks and be able to adjust changing priorities. You will be adept in your ability to quickly shift perspectives and approach relationships and business transactions accordingly.

**Key duties and responsibilities**:

- Support the needs of retail clients with respect to their retail stores. Including but not limited to property maintenance matters, obtaining landlord’s consent where required and reviewing common area costs and tax reconciliations.
- Reviewing each lease and determining responsibility for obligations if landlords’ consent is required and that the common area costs and tax reconciliations are in accordance with the lease for the applicable stores.
- Manage and maintain physical and electronic filing systems.
- Liaise with landlords, property managers, store managers, other departments, consultants, lawyers.
- Ability to travel both locally and out of province to inspect the retail stores to understand property maintenance matters and to ensure the shopping centres are being maintained in a first-class manner.
- Establish and maintain strong landlord and tenant relationships.
- Manage and maintain accurate rent schedules and coordinate with Finance.
- Understand and comply with Company policies and procedures.
- Assist with research and preparation of material for presentation purposes, and compile information using the appropriate software product.
- Maintain lease information schedules.

**Who you are**:

- You have well developed oral, written, interpersonal, communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- You have a sound foundation in and understanding of real estate transactions and lease documents.
- You have the ability to think both analytically and strategically.
- You can manage your own schedule, meet deadlines and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- You have commercial real estate leasing experience.
- You have Minimum of 2 years’ experience in administrative support.
- You have Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint experience.
