Big Head Wines is thrilled to announce our partnership with General Assembly to present an outdoor wood-burning pizza experience.
General Assembly Pizza opened in 2017 on a mission to bring better pizza to the people. Our pies are all made from 100% naturally leavened dough and are topped with thoughtfully sourced premium all-natural ingredients.
**Position(s) Available: Pizza Supervisor & Pizza Maker**
Joining the General Assembly kitchen team entails a standard work week of 5 shifts, each lasting 8 hours, from Wednesday through Monday. This position is situated in an outdoor setup at our brand-new facility in scenic Niagara-on-the-Lake. Please note that a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are necessary as we are located in a rural area, off transit lines.
The Pizzeria Supervisor and Pizza Maker report directly to the Management Team at Big Head Wines and will be responsible for preparing and serving pizza under General Assembly's quality standards while ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
We seek enthusiastic team players with strong organizational skills. Previous corporate culinary experience would be beneficial.
**Responsibilities**:
Ensure Smooth Service Operations
Uphold Compliance with Health and Safety Regulations
Assist in Kitchen Setup, Organization, and Cleanliness
Adhere to Kitchen Standards and Operating Best Practices
Follow SOPs Provided by Both General Assembly and Big Head Wines
**Qualifications**:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in pizza-making
Proficient in operating food-fire ovens
Hold a valid Food Handlers Certificate
Knowledgeable about Municipal Health & Safety regulations
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Open availability, including weekends and holidays
Positive attitude and a genuine passion for food
**Hours of Work**:
Primarily 10:30 am - 6:30 pm
**Weekend availability is required**
**Availability into October is required**
