Junior Buyer

**Job Purpose**:
The Junior Buyer will support the Procurement Department by managing the ordering and inventory processes to ensure timely availability of materials and supplies. This role is responsible for placing purchase requests, ordering glass and sealed units, organizing pickups and deliveries within Calgary, and resolving any discrepancies with orders. The Junior Buyer will also handle documentation control, assist with invoicing issues, and collaborate with internal teams to maintain accurate inventory counts and transfers.

**Role & Responsibilities**:

- Ordering Glass and rushed sealed units.
- Ordering inventory based off weekly demand.
- Placing purchase requests.
- Resolving discrepancies with orders.
- Organizing pickups and deliveries throughout Calgary.
- Transferring material between stock and WIP.
- Entering count quantities weekly.
- Document controlling (Packing slips, invoices, bill of landing, invoices, etc. ).
- Receiving packing slips.
- Assisting accounts payable with invoicing issues.

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles is preferred.
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and maintain attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with suppliers, delivery personnel, and internal teams.
- inability to identify and resolve discrepancies with orders and invoicing issues.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Experience with document control, including handling packing slips, invoices, bills of lading, etc.
- Knowledge of inventory counting methods and transferring materials between stock and work-in-progress.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and assist other departments as needed.
- Time Management: Efficient in organizing pickups and deliveries to meet tight schedules.

**Education**:

- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
