The Municipality of Arran-Elderslie invites qualified applicants for the two-year contract for GIS / Asset
Management Co-ordinator. Reporting to the Treasurer, the GIS/Asset Management Co-ordinator is responsible to facilitate the collection, compiling, input, storage and retrieval of data for the GIS/Tangible Capital Assets system.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- This position will be responsible for the development and support of the municipal databases and asset management strategies.
- Assists in the integration of the Asset Management Plan (AMP) and GIS for purposes of planning.
- Facilitate Citywide Asset Management development, progress reporting and benefits tracking as well as coordinate internal and external benchmarking of asset management practices and concepts;
- Use of data collection equipment and its supporting software.
- Manage the collection of annual reflectivity data.
- Locate and mark municipal infrastructure. Assist in creating new data layers and input data into the municipal geodatabase.
- Import, export and convert data within the GIS database and other proprietary databases.
- Create and maintain maps for all Municipal departments.
- Provide technical GIS support.
- Developing and communicating on the status of the Municipal Asset Management Plan;
- Development of corresponding internal policies and procedures.

**Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills Required**:

- Must have a post secondary school education, with a GIS Certificate/Diploma or Asset Management

Certificate.
- Experience in asset management is an asset.
- An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.
- Knowledge and experience of Asset Plan Development and use of Asset Management software is preferred.
- Excellent written, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Experience with ArcGIS Online/Desktop.
- Familiar with traffic data collection equipment an asset.
- High degree of accuracy with the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
- Familiarity with CityWide software, or varied GIS tools is considered an asset.
- Valid Class G drivers’ license, with an acceptable drivers’ abstract.
