**Violence Against Women Services Elgin County **works together with our community to foster safety and plant seeds for social change necessary for equity to thrive and gender-based violence to cease. We offer a warm and welcoming place with supports for women experiencing harm and their children - with safety, community, and connection at its heart.

We offer support through a 24 Hour Help Line; 24 Hour Emergency Shelter; and Community Outreach Counselling for women who have been abused, women who have been sexually assaulted, women seeking support to secure housing, and children who have witnessed abuse. We also offer support through family court, prevention through education opportunities, and professional consultation services.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced leader with a steady presence and nimble spirit to join our team as the **Manager of Community and Residential Programs.**

**Responsibilities include**:

- Ensure responsive, compassionate, and accountable services for women and children congruent with the agency vision, mission, values, and all applicable legislation.
- Mentor counselling colleagues through orientation, clinical supervision, performance management, and professional development.
- Identify and manage risks in program delivery.
- Plan, develop, schedule, monitor, and evaluate agency programs, policies, and clinical tools.
- Ensure data collection, record keeping, and reporting of all program information necessary for accountability and ensuring continued quality in service delivery.
- Assess, forecast, and make recommendations to address evolving program needs.
- Provide leadership in day to day service delivery and in emergency situations as part of the agency after hours on-call consultation service.
- Work in partnership with the Executive Director as part of the agency management team to realize the goals of the organization with a focus on celebrating successes, generating creative solutions to address challenges, engaging our community, and cultivating hope in the face of witnessing harm.

- Strong commitment to the agency’s vision, mission, values, and framework.
- Sound understanding of gender based violence and its effects.
- Evidenced commitment to equitable and inclusive services working from an anti-racist and anti-oppressive framework.
- Trauma informed counselling experience, harm reduction expertise, and crisis management skills.
- Demonstrated clinical acumen and risk management capacity.
- Proven team building, clinical supervision, and performance management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and experience.
- Experience in program planning, development, delivery, and evaluation.
- Effective organization, priority setting, and communication skills.
- Curiosity, introspection, and openness to learning and growth.
- Proficiency in computer programs (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Three or more years of supervisory experience in a direct service agency.
- Master of Social Work and registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers or relevant equivalent education, experience, and professional college registration.

Clear and current Police Vulnerable Sector Check and CPR/First Aid Certification are required. The ability to lift up to 30lbs and daily access to a reliable vehicle are necessary.

**Salary**: $75,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
