Wallis Residential Homes is an organization with a long-standing dedication to providing exceptional supportive housing in the St Thomas/ London area for over 30 years. We partner with the Ministry of Health and community based mental health agencies to provide housing and support through the Community Homes for Opportunity (CHO) Program.

Community Homes for Opportunity (CHO) is a recovery oriented supportive housing program that offers 24/7 supports services to maintain housing stability and personal wellness through a person-centred approach.

Wallis Residential Homes is looking for a caring, organized and team oriented individual to join our organization in the role of Day Manager. Shifts will primarily be scheduled 7-3 on weekdays, but will occasionally require weekend and evening hours.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure balanced meals are planned and prepared
- Perform housekeeping duties and provide laundry support to tenants as needed.
- Support tenants with medications
- Schedule tenant medical appointments, and arrange community support for appointments as needed.
- Attend and participates in meetings such as tenant house meetings, community support team meetings.
- Communicate and collaborate with external Community Mental Health Agencies to support tenants.
- Work with Senior Management to schedule and supervise home staff.
- Makes certain that all documentation is completed promptly, accurately and submitted to the appropriate parties

QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience/ knowledge in the mental health field.
- Experience in a supervisory role
- Management skills: demonstrated organizational, communication, decision-making and leadership abilities
- Current certification in CPR Level C and First Aid Level C is mandatory within 30 days of hire
- Valid Class G Driver’s License and clean Driver’s Abstract is required
- Current (within 1 year) Police Check and Vulnerable Sector Search must be provided
- Basic to intermediate computer skills with the ability to operate various software and operational systems (e.g., Windows, google chrome, Microsoft Word, smartsheets.)

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 44 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay
- Overtime pay

Ability to Commute:

- St. Thomas, ON N5R 3R7 (required)

Ability to Relocate:

- St. Thomas, ON N5R 3R7: Relocate before starting work (required)
