Investment Specialist

This role will:
Responsible for initiating direct member contract by telephone or in person and solicitaing services in accordance with the policies and procedures of the credit union, with high focus on gaining additional deposit business/3rd party revenue. Initiates action resulting in the growth and development of member portfolios. This position requires excellent public relations skills, tact and the ability to communicate clearly. Efficiency and accuracy are also vital to the successsful execution of this position.
Travel to Branch Locations required
Responsibilities include:
Education and Licensing Requirements:
- Currently licensed under IIROC or MFDA
- PFP minimum
- Professional Financial Planning course through CSI or CFP.
- University or college education
Experience and Skills:
- Ability to provide insights of all aspects of financial planning
- Presentation skills an asset
- Preparing financial plans
- Experience with high-net-worth investors
- Managing a wealth department
- Managing part-time investment specialists and an assistant.
- Knowledge of fund companies and products
- Able to gain trust and build relationships
- Implement investment plans
- Strong overall investment knowledge and market insight
- Able to analyze the book of business and set goals
- Five (5) years PLUS of investment experience.
- Professionalism and tact.
- Attentive to detail.
- Strong communications skills.
**Salary**: $73,500.00-$81,500.00 per year
