**Position**: After-School Program Coordinator
**Hours**: 15-20 hours/week, Monday - Friday 3:00pm-5:30pm plus planning hours during the week. Opportunities for more hours are available if interested.
**Starting Pay Rate**: $18/hour

**About**: ARC is seeking a responsible and enthusiastic coordinator for our After School Program. If you love children and being active, then this is the job for you
Our After-School program provides a great way for children to stay active and engaged while their parents are at work. While at ARC, kids will participate in structured rock climbing, crafts, and group games led by you and other instructors.
**What you’ll do**:
- Create a welcoming, safe, and fun environment for all participants
- Plan and facilitate the delivery of structured programming activities including rock climbing, group games, and arts and crafts
- Follow a predetermined budget to obtain program supplies as needed
- Be responsible for receiving participants from the bus drop-off point, and picking up participants from R.L. Beattie (walking distance)
- Communicate professionally with parents on a daily basis
- Supervise other program instructors and ensure all program policies and procedures are implemented and carried out in day to day operations
- Provide additional site support through general maintenance, program set up, and other tasks as needed

- Commitment to working in a socially inclusive environment
- Time management skills with the ability to plan, organize, and deliver programming goals
- A strong desire to learn and improve
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR-Level C (or willingness to obtain)
**Bonus points if you**:
- Are bilingual
- Have knowledge of climbing procedures and safety guidelines
- Have completed programs in or are currently studying: early childhood education, youth recreation, or teacher’s college
