**Front Desk & Sales Associate**

A **Front Desk & Sales Associate** at VRTU is friendly and approachable, loves to work with both adults and kids, and is keen on making the overall experience at VRTU a positive one

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Enthusiastically greets members and guests to create a friendly positive entrance and departure to and from the gym; leads studio tours to prospective clients.
- Provides security and control of the front door and retail area of the facility.
- Facilitates sales of membership, equipment, and personal training, with the ability to meet sales goals and targets.
- Responsible for leads tracking, maintaining accurate sales notes, and following up with potential clients after their classes
- Actively calls past leads to have them book into a trial class; offer membership promos
- Conducts member “check-in” phone calls, to see who their experience has been
- Registers all guests into the gym using proper registration procedures, and enters all sales into the gym software; monitors delinquent accounts
- Ensures that guests and personal training appointments are directed to the appropriate fitness consultant in a prompt, professional manner
- Attends weekly status meetings; takes minutes and tracks action items for the team
- Keeps gym google calendar updated; including upcoming events and class schedule changes
- Oversees overall customer experience and front desk presentation - including merch displays, updating community board, refilling food and beverage options for customers, and coming up with new and creative ways to enhance the overall customer experience
- Films or take photos during training for social media use
- Follows proper opening and closing procedures. Cleans and maintains the front desk area according to VRTU standards.
- Responsible for attending and participating in all relative training programs and staff workshops.
- Other duties as assigned: to include but not limited to light cleaning and picking up of weights, managing inventory, and other administrative tasks.

**Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Some post-secondary preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills are required. Sales experience is an asset.
- Must be comfortable making phone calls to both warm and cold leads
- Strong administrative capabilities and organization skills
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally, and in writing, with both staff and members.
- Functional computer skills are required (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Drive Platform)
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment; and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Previous fitness and / or martial arts experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of Mindbody software is an asset.
- Previous experience working with kids, or in a kid-friendly atmosphere is an asset.
