**Compensation Range**: $5075-$6090 a month, plus a range of benefits.

**Overview of the Position**:
The Project Coordinator will report to the Senior Adviser: Women & Girls and be responsible for supporting the implementation of the project titled "Empowering Women and Girls in the Commonwealth" across five countries. This role involves working closely with local partners and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of project outcomes, focusing on social, educational, and economic empowerment for women and girls in rural and disadvantaged communities.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the Senior Adviser to ensure the delivery and administration of the project aligns with the approved proposal and budget.
- Design templates for preparing various reports and tracking information and deadlines for all project activities at the country and regional level.
- Collect and collate information and analyse data to prepare draft reports for review and update plans as needed.
- Maintain an effective monitoring and evaluation framework in support of the project implementation plan and design a status report tracking system.
- Receive project status reports from partners in the region and regularly update COL’s ‘Project Progress Report Template’ accordingly.
- Coordinate online communication through portal / website content management tools, in collaboration with assigned personnel/partners/consultants.
- Support project management and development through effective and efficient project management practices for the implementation of the project as well as liaising with key internal staff and external partners.
- Schedule and prepare papers for the Project Steering Committee as well as record and circulate the minutes of all meetings.
- Undertake other tasks as assigned in relation to the project.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
**Qualifications**

**_Essential_**
- Undergraduate degree in education / social sciences / international development /management or related area.
- Certificate or training in project management.

**_Desirable_**
- Postgraduate degree in a related area, such as Gender.

**Experience**

**_Essential_**
- 5+ years work experience with exposure to project coordination with international development agencies, not-for-profit sector or educational institutions.
- Ability to network with people and organisations internationally using both interpersonal skills and technologies.
- Excellent information and communication technology (ICT) skills in order to organise and track various activities.

**_Desirable_**
- Some knowledge of the Africa and Asia region.

**Skills and Competencies**:

- Project Coordination - Ability to organise, prioritise and complete multiple assignments simultaneously within an appropriate time frame in a manner that efficiently utilises resources and optimises efficiency while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy; shows persistence in overcoming obstacles; and ensures follow-through to desired results.
- Contract / Vendor Management - Ability to help identify, select and maintain a network of contacts and to draft agreements that achieve value for money and are consistent with COL’s policy framework.
- Networking - Ability to liaise with partner agencies and institutions related to project coordination, while exercising discretion and diplomacy and representing COL’s interests; capable of assisting in identifying quality partners as needed.
- Communication - Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide network of contacts in a clear and concise manner that displays sensitivity to ethnic and gender issues. This includes good drafting skills for organisational and communication related activities along with the ability to communicate and work with others, both within and outside of COL, by promoting co-operation and collaboration to achieve collective outcomes, gathering, sharing and disseminating information with others, and appropriately giving and being open to feedback from team/co-workers.
