**DUTIES**
Reporting to the Manager of Work-Integrated Learning, the Industry Liaison Consultant (ILC) plays a crucial role in establishing and nurturing effective partnerships with industry and community organizations. This position is vital for achieving specific targets and strategic goals related to co-op employment and other academic work-integrated learning (WIL) initiatives. The ILC is tasked with identifying, assessing, and cultivating employer relationships to transform prospects into high-quality WIL experiences. In alignment with WIL employer development strategies and work term timelines, the ILC will develop new WIL opportunities and strengthen existing industry partnerships. The ILC will also plan and execute events, such as information sessions, to educate employers about WIL, including the benefits of participation and how to engage in WIL at RRC Polytech. This role requires a strong commitment to established processes and service delivery models that ensure exceptional customer service and promote the retention and expansion of quality WIL opportunities.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Sales, Marketing, or Business; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
- Several years of experience in business development within the information technology sector
- Experience working on projects, with a proven ability to plan, execute, and monitor multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build rapport and foster relationships with both internal and external partners
- Experience delivering exceptional customer service to diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in virtual and in-person event planning and promoting of services to employers and students including utilizing social media
- Market research and analysis skills to identify industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging industry demand to identify potential WIL partners, understand recruitment needs, resulting in making informed, market-driven engagement strategies
- Current with Canadian and international government legislation and policy documents that relate to employment and work-integrated learning
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective conflict resolution skills
- Proven initiative and capability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement

**ASSET QUALIFICATIONS**
- An understanding of Red River College Polytechnic and its programs
- Knowledge of current labour market trends

**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
- This position may be required to work overtime
- This position may be required to travel
- May be required to work at various RRC Polytech campuses
