BMC Senior Consultant** **Skills Needed**: Experience with migration from BMC TrueSight Operations Management (TSOM) to BMC Helix Operations Management
- Senior Consultant experienced in the following:

- Migration from TSOM to BHOM
- Deployment of Patrol Agents
- Conversion of PCM policies to CMA policies
- Migration of Even policies
- Experience working with Data Tables
- Integrations
- PSR level 2 implementation
- Dynamic Service Model creation/migration
- Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading, directing, and participating in small teams comprised of BMC, partner and customer resources at client sites (or off-premise) to deliver required outcomes as defined in the Statement of Work (SOW).
- Accountable to the Project Manager, BMC technical lead(s), and the client for perform work defined in the SOW.
- Through delivering the solution, drive customer satisfaction and position BMC in a positive light for future business with the client.
- Collects business and technical information from clients regarding requirements to support the defined SOW.
- Understand and adhere to BMC's delivery methodology
- Determines, with assistance, whether BMC solutions can technically satisfy these requirements. Confers with the Project Manager, sales representative, technical and sales management on these observations.
- Implement (install), customize, and configure BMC or third party products as defined in the SOW.
- Assist in troubleshooting technical problems as related to the SOW.
- Effectively escalate and involve relevant parties as appropriate
- Assist in managing customer expectations through solid communication and documentation.
- Communications effectively at all levels to support the solution.
- Effectively document tasks, designs, and configurations performed in support of the SOW for appropriate turnover to production for the client.
- Under the Project Manager's direction, complete and document tasks in line with BMC Best Practices.
- Produce tasks and deliverables on-time with first time quality and mínimal rework.
- Provide status reports and updates to the Project Manager and technical leads as required.
- Deliver technical presentations as required to support technical tasks and communicate the solution (i.e. WebEx, conference calls, etc.)
- Ability to transfer knowledge of work performed to all stakeholders on the team.
- Submits time and expenses on-time using BMC systems and processes (OpenAir).
- Participates in requirements gathering workshops adding technical comments and scribing notes for final documents.
- Works with foundation data for proper implementation.
- Define or answer in deep detail Product configurations
- Defines, writes, and delivers specifications, user guides, and architecture and methodology as appropriate to meet project deadlines.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with clients.
- Provide general physical and logical design overviews to customers as part of the discovery phase.
- Manage IT infrastructure management solution engagements
- Advise customers on best-practices to help guide and solidify a given design.
- Work with other team members to validate requirements and review deliverables prior to releasing to customers.
- Ability to influence technical directions from a corporate standpoint.
- Modifies routine work processes, techniques, methods, and practices to accomplish specific work assignments. Documents and informs the project team on the use of new or enhanced delivery techniques, methods, processes, and practices.
- Researches routine to moderately complex work and customer problems, issues, and circumstances and provides recommendations, alternatives, and risk assessments to the project manager
- Ensures identifying and responding to questions, issues, and ensures service opportunities meet client's needs.
- Acquires in-depth knowledge of one or more BMC product lines. Learns and continually develops consulting and implementations skills.
- Adjusts to changes in priorities and manages time effectively.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Takes ownership and works as a customer advocate.
- Mentor and develop Associate Consultant and Consultant positions. Share technical knowledge and personal experiences.
- Develops solutions that consider the impact on other aspects of the project.
- Improve the quality and efficiency of the solutions delivered to BMC clients
- Work with customers to determine current state, future state and gap assessments with the final outcome being a recommendation / architectural assessment.
- Evaluate the business / technical requirements to support the solution roadmap which maps business processes to product.
- Determines work priorities in accordance with project plans, project schedules, changing work demands, and BMC policies and practices.
- Acquires in-depth knowledge of one or more BMC product lines. Learns and continually develops consulting and implementations skills.
