The Intelligence and Investigation Analyst role will report to the Manager, Physical Security Operations, with a day-to-day operational reporting line into the Senior Investigation and Intelligence Specialist. They will work with internal and contract team members to contribute to a best-in-class physical security and crisis management program that consists of systems, policies and procedures with the objective of increasing company security adherence, awareness, creating a safe working environment, and remaining compliant with applicable regulatory bodies. This position will work closely with our Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) with a primary focus on the operational execution and support investigations and intelligence tasks.

This position may interact with senior management at the Corporate and Business Group level, peers within Corporate Compliance, Information Security, Risk & Governance, Business Continuity, Real Estate and Human Resources in the delivery of physical security and emergency response services related to both security and criminal incidents. This position will interface directly with external government, security, law enforcement and emergency services officials.

**What will you do?**

As an Intelligence and Investigative Analyst with a global focus, your primary role is to:

- Leverage your geopolitical expertise to enhance Sun Life’s awareness of its physical threat landscape and risk exposure, including events that may impact Sun Life directly or indirect.
- Support physical security investigations which pose a risk to Sun Life.
- Analyze incident data to generate actionable intelligence that reduces Sun Life's physical risk exposure
- Regularly liaise with public and private sector stakeholders including law enforcement.
- Collaboration with other investigative teams within Sun Life on a case-by-case basis.
- Provide written reports and verbal briefings to executive and operational level audiences.
- Assist with the creation and evolution of relevant processes.

**Minimum Requirements**
- 2-5 years’ experience in intelligence and/or investigations, preferably within a similar organization of comparable size and complexity.
- Post-secondary education or formal training in intelligence; preferably with a focus on geopolitics.
- Experience observing, analyzing and reporting on geopolitical trends and incidents.
- Must be able to obtain Reliability Status through the Government of Canada. Includes a background check with fingerprinting by the RCMP.
- Superior ability to communicate (written and verbal) with an executive audience.
- Proficiency (a combination of experience and training) with OSINT, with a particular focus on real
- time coverage and risk analysis.

**Preferred Skills**
- Membership(s) in professional investigation or intelligence associations. Professional designations are an asset.
- Ability to accurately manage, triage, collate and assess the credibility of large volumes of information.
- A naturally curious and analytical mindset.
- Passionate about being part of a best-in-class intelligence and investigation team and driven to produce results.
- Deep knowledge and intrinsic familiarity with intelligence and investigation fundamentals such as the intelligence cycle and utilizing structured analytic techniques to minimize cognitive biases.
