KPMG Canada offers a unique opportunity for a skilled Intelligence Analyst to join our Corporate Intelligence team.

We deliver investigative and integrity due diligence services to international clients across various industries. Our team also supports other business units within KPMG, such as Deal Advisory, Risk Management, and Assurance.

Job Description:

This is a research-focused role, primarily involving qualitative analysis and not accounting-oriented work.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting desktop-based research using public records from various sources, including media, internet, litigation, commercial registries, and corporate databases in multiple countries and languages.
  • Sourcing public record information from subscriber and external sources, utilizing third-party services when necessary.
  • Delivering high-quality, time-sensitive reports to both internal and external clients using investigative research skills.
  • Participating in the development of research, thought leadership, and marketing efforts on behalf of the Corporate Intelligence team.
  • Assisting in proposal preparation for clients and supporting the business.

The ideal candidate may be considered for both Consultant and Senior Consultant levels.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Technical expertise in tools like LexisNexis, Quicklaw, and Internet search engines.
  • Familiarity with legal and financial databases, along with the ability to summarize financial transactions and civil litigation matters using source documents.
  • A comprehensive understanding of standard computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, OneNote).
  • Post-secondary education in criminology, political science, journalism, information studies, or a relevant field.
  • 2+ years' experience in investigative research in professional services, law, or consulting firms.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and an inquiring mind.
  • Fluency in French or Spanish is a plus.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum
