As a Technician in our mRNA vaccine production unit, you will be a vital part of Moderna's expansion in Laval, Canada. This role places you at the heart of our mission to innovate and transform medicine through our advanced mRNA technology. You will have the unique opportunity to work with state-of-the-art production equipment, contributing significantly to the development of vaccines that address critical global health challenges. This day shift position offers you a chance to be part of a groundbreaking and fast-paced work environment, where your efforts have direct impacts on public health and pandemic resilience.

**Here’s What You’ll Do**:
Within 3 Months, You Will

Gain proficiency in operating complex machinery crucial to the mRNA vaccine production process. This includes getting hands-on experience with the technology that is at the forefront of vaccine innovation.

Become involved in key stages of vaccine production such as transcription, filtration, and purification, using automated and computer-assisted equipment. This is where your technical skills will be crucial in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our vaccine production.

Undertake important tasks like sampling for analyses at pivotal stages of the manufacturing process and conducting environmental controls, ensuring adherence to our rigorous safety and quality standards.

Within 6 Months, You Will

Play an active role in implementing performance tools and techniques within your team, aiming to achieve and exceed operational KPIs set by Moderna.

Take charge of maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the equipment and manufacturing areas. This also includes proactively identifying and reporting any issues related to compliance, quality, and health and safety.

Engage in routine maintenance tasks for the equipment you operate, and actively participate in projects aimed at continuous improvement of our processes and systems.

Within 12 Months, You Will

Demonstrate a thorough understanding and expertise in current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and health and safety protocols, ensuring all processes meet the highest regulatory standards.

Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to facilitate the timely release of commercial vaccine batches, playing a critical role in the vaccine's journey from production to public distribution.

Participate in in-depth investigations into quality deviations or health and safety incidents and contribute to the development and implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA). This role is crucial in maintaining the high-quality standards for which Moderna is known.

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table

3 to 5 years of experience in a GMP manufacturing environment.

P ost-secondary degree in pharmaceutical sciences or biotechnology sector.

Ability to collaborate with peers, supervisors and support function teams.

Excellent written and oral communication skills and excellent organizational skills.

Ability to pay attention to details while performing multiple tasks with mínimal supervision.

Demonstrated commitment to Moderna's values ( Bold, Collaboration, Curiosity and Relentles s) and embody these values in the workplace.

Fluency in French and English as a working language.
