Laurysen Kitchens Ltd, a leading kitchen cabinet manufacturer, is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment. This role requires a combination of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety and quality.

**Please note: Role is currently in-person at 2415 Carp Rd but will be moving to 7 Industrial, Carleton Place early next year.**

Current work hours are Monday to Thursday 7:00 -4:00 pm and Friday 7:00 to 3:00 pm., 41.5 hours per week.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct scheduled inspections, lubrication, and preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and breakdowns, diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions to minimize production disruptions.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify opportunities for equipment improvements and upgrades.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs performed, parts used, and maintenance schedules using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or other tracking tools.
- Ensure the safety of yourself and others by adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in training programs to stay updated on new technologies and best practices in maintenance and equipment operation.
- Ensure equipment is maintained and inspected to comply with regulations (TSSA, ESA, etc.).
- Utilize Arc & Mig welding techniques and fabrication skills to repair or modify equipment as needed.
- Basic plumbing repairs
- Parts/Supplies ordering (tools/hardware/filters etc.)
- Assist in maintaining an organized and clean maintenance workshop area.
- Travel between locations

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant trade qualifications preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the woodworking or cabinetry industry.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment, to perform maintenance and repairs.
- Strong troubleshooting aptitude and experience repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Strong knowledge of TSSA regulations and experience obtaining and maintaining relevant certifications.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment and perform tasks in a variety of working environments.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all company policies and procedures.

Pay Range: $29.00-$32.00 per hour (rate negotiable based on experience)
