Renewals Specialist

**Summary**:
This role primarily involves managing and taking ownership of GAL Power Ottawa’s maintenance contract base as each agreement approaches expiry. You will be responsible for renewing each Ottawa service agreement from 90 days pre-expiry until 30 days after expiry. The position is based in the Ottawa office, and occasional travel may be necessary. Success in this role requires proactive outreach to customers and exceeding contract retention targets.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage and facilitate the renewal of all existing contracts in the assigned territory to meet maximum retention goals.
- Review existing contracts for profitability and service efficiency.
- Adjust contract pricing to maintain profitability and competitiveness.
- Offer upgrades, extensions, and service additions to maximize revenue.
- Conduct initial phone calls with customers to confirm contact information and assess renewal needs.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems.
- Follow up promptly on renewals and accurately report outcomes.
- Address objections from reluctant customers and adapt strategies for successful renewals.
- Maintain continuous communication with customers until renewal status is determined.
- Track renewals, follow up regularly, and provide detailed reports.
- Collaborate with outside sales team and DSM’s to resolve challenges and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assist in strengthening relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Provide improvement suggestions based on customer feedback.
- Collaborate with Service Agreement Specialists to identify new opportunities.
- Coordinate with DSM’s and technicians for additional information when necessary.
- Perform other duties as required to support organizational growth and development.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 3 years of successful experience in a related industry preferred.
- Fluency in English required; French proficiency considered an asset.
- Understanding of customer satisfaction requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM Software.
- Electrical and mechanical aptitude/background considered advantageous.
- Professional conduct and presentation.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Experience with sales tracking software preferred.
- Ability to manage rejection professionally.
- Basic understanding of internal combustion engines and electricity.
- Experience in the generator industry is beneficial.
- Willingness to work during power outages or declared State of Emergency by any level of Government in Ontario.

**Working Conditions**:

- Manual dexterity required for computer use.
- Overtime may be necessary.
- Occasional lifting or moving of up to 30lbs.
